Golden Slot   

After traversing up and down the canyon in what was practically pitch dark, he noticed an almost celestial golden glow near the top of the canyon, nearly a hundred feet above his head.  This is one of Kesel’s most striking images from one of his favorite sites - Antelope Canyon.  Kesel captured this almost unbelievable formation in this slot canyon east of Lake Powell early one morning in May.  Thousands of years of water flowing through this narrow canyon into Lake Powell created the wonderful detail in the undulating sandstone formation.
